"Tessellation is one step further towards geometry and engineering"

Technique: Textile and Fiberglass Tessellations..

Through an in-depth study of the classic paper tessellation technique, I have developed an innovative method for applying this technique to textiles or fiberglass. My designs explore the intersection of geometry, movement, space, light, and overlapping folds, generating multiple visual effects.

Structure: Materials and Procedure

Starting from a single piece of silk, without the need for cutting or sewing, I create complex geometric patterns and series, giving life to infinite, three-dimensional compositions, challenging the conventional perception of more tactile textile art. I also encapsulate these works in light boxes, adding a contrast that highlights the depth and X-ray of my creations.

Unlike wild silk, fiberglass has its own distinctive visual language. Each work made with this material creates a striking contrast, adding a new and exciting dimension to the world of tessellation. The creative process with fiberglass is a journey into the unknown.

This movement does not aim to pigeonhole styles or make artists abandon their personal expressions.
